"I am not a huge fan of foundation, but do need to wear it to even out my skin tone. My face only experiences minor redness, which is from acne and scarring, however, that's not the main reason why I purchased it. I read many positive reviews from people of all skin types, so decided to give it a try. Let's just say I'm thrilled and want a lifetime supply! It is probably the smoothest foundation I have ever worn, not to mention that it is very natural looking. I've been wearing it for at least 6 hours now, and my face is neither oily or cake-like. And it is probably the first foundation I haven't wanted to run home to and wash off! Definitely worth a try."

"I do not have rosacea, but I do have redness caused by extremely sensitive skin and acne. I have had no luck with liquid foundations previous to this one, so I am very happy that I tried it! I use this foundation over top the dramatically different moisturizing gel and the redness solutions protective base.

Before this foundation, I would use loose powdered foundations, but because my skin is oily, the makeup would sometimes cake and make my pores look bigger. This makeup solved all my problems!

This liquid foundation is by far the best makeup I've ever tried. Not only does it calm redness on contact, but it also reduces oiliness, even throughout the day with no touch ups. As others have pointed out, it does have a yellowish tinge (I got the calming alabaster and I have extremely fair skin). However, the yellow tint is what partially covers the redness. Also, if you apply the foundation with a foundation brush, you can get the coverage more even and less thick, which reduces the yellow tone. Once I evenly cover my face, it no longer appears yellow, just even in tone. The foundation is fairly thick, so I really do recommend using a foundation brush rather than just fingers. The brush allows you to more evenly and lightly disperse the product over your face and neck.

Additionally, ever since using this product, my acne has cleared up more, and I no longer get itchy, irritated skin during the day like I used to.

Overall, this is the best makeup I've ever tried, and it's well worth the money, even if the bottle is fairly small. I will definitely purchase again and I am recommending it to my mother!"

"I have never before written a review of a foundation, but this one is so special that it merits accolades! I have dry skin with patchy redness. This makeup is the most natural I've ever used, and it looks good all day. I use the color "calmest fair," which suits my light to medium complexion very nicely. I use it with intense moisture surge, and it doesn't appear dry at all. I'm so grateful for finally discovering a foundation that makes me super happy. Highly, highly recommended."

"I was never a person who wore base every day and most days I still only wear it on my nose and chin. However when I do wear this on the rest of my face as well, it is lightweight and covers my rosy skin. I love it! My rosacea is relatively under control because of products I have from the dermatologist, but I still have some broken blood vessels and a lot of rosiness going on. It really helps tone down my red nose and chin. Love it!"

"i was so excited to get my clinique package today and it didn't disappoint. after using the redness solutions skin care i tried this foundation. though it didn't totally cover up the redness in my cheeks, it did enough just to look like i have a healthy glow. so far, so good! some people complained about an orange color but the alabaster color is wonderful for me. no orange color at all."

"I have never been a foundation fan because it was always to heavy and irritating to my skin. During my mid tweenty's I started experiancing ance rosacea and this is very irritating as well as bad for the self esteem so I tried different make up brands to try to cover it up but they irritated my face so much that it burned. I got a sample of this and I used it and loved it, it doesn't only cover the red patches on my face but it leaves my face so smooth and the best part is that it is not heavy at all and it doesn't irritate my skin at all."

"I really wanted this foundation to work, but the colors are as usual too dark with too much yellow. I have sensitive fair cool skin with blue undertones. I tried the fair, the alabaster was like putting yellow parchment on my skin. I tried it for a couple of weeks and could not live with the yellow jaundice look. I tried it very thinly and still could see yellow on my jaw and forehead. I was really hoping for a color match as the makeup itself is very good and I love the redness solutions skin care for my sensitive reactive skin. Putting on enough to cover the redness was way too dark. I keep being told that Clinique is making more foundations for those of us with very fair cool skin, but I keep seeing too dark and too much yellow! Please, Clinique, help those of us with fair cool complexions, we need foundation too!!!"

"Wonderful, natural-looking coverage that is non-greasy. It lasts all day. Set with the Redness pressed powder and you've got a dynamic duo! I use Calming Fair and it does not wash me out. "I have very sensitive, and dry skin. I suffer from reactive redness. I have tried many foundations and they would all leave my skin feeling dry and irritated by the end of the day. "First, let me say that I have always HATED foundation. However, I love this stuff and wish I hadn't let my experience with heavy, cakey, unnatural foundation keep me from discovering it long ago!

I have very sensitive skin and experience redness across my nose and cheeks as a result of acne flare-ups, red wine, and heat, hot showers, as well as cold-wind induced blotchiness. This foundation looks natural, calms the skin, and really keeps the redness hidden. I feel more confident with this!

I don't normally write reviews, but this has made such a difference for me that I wanted to share."

"I tried the foundation for redness solutions and it did nothing to help cover up the redness. Also use the green tinted moisturizer. No relief. Cheeks & face still look red. Had to use my other foundation to help cover it up. Maybe the guy at the clinique counter didn't color match me properly. It does seem to be a very light color compared to my other clinique foundations. Just feel like I wasted a lot of money."

"I have never written a review on a product but I had to on this one. Normally I can't stand the felling of foundation on my face but after yet another round of breakouts I was desprate to cover up my skin. After a week of using this makeup my skin is TOTALLY CLEAR!!! It has not looked this good in so long! Not to mention....it feels so good on my face. It is not at all heavy, greasy or cakey! This the only foundation I will ever wear!"

Light Weight Coverage

"I have always hated foundation but in recent years have had no choice but to start wearing it. That’s why I am really impressed with this one! It’s so light weight that I don’t feel like I am wearing a foundation at all! It did help cover most of my redness and also with continued use calm the redness down. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that it does not cover all of the redness but does do a pretty good job."
