"I have been a Clinique user for over 20 years, but only recently started using the Moisture Sheer Tint. I love it! I've tried the newer version of the tinted moisturizer (Moisture Surge), and I don't care for it. I can't even find a color that suits me as well as the Beige tint of the Moisture Sheer. Please return the older product to your lineup, and I'll be a happy customer (p.s. I miss the old eye shadow colors: Stormy and Honeybunch, too.) Thank you,"

Bad replacement for tinted moisturizer

"It is now the second time that Clinique replaces a tinted moisturizer in a matter of a few years. The first one was Almost Make Up and now apparently the Moisture Sheer Tint that replaced it, is also being taken off the shelves.

Not a good move to retain loyal customers, Clinique! It takes a long time for me to find the right beauty products but when I do, I am the most loyal buyer.

I have used Clinique for 8-10 years but I hate that they replace products so often and I will switch back to my previous brand."

"I have gone through a lot of foundation. I do not like anything heavy and hate looking like I have tons of makeup. This product is by far the best. It feels light, gives color, matches well, doesn't make me oily, and best of all even though it is very light it covers imperfections with just a little coverage. I would say this is by far the best foundation/tinted moisturizer yet. I have very sensitive skin and this makeup keeps my face free of clogged pours and break outs. This is the winner for me. Thank you Clinique!"

Bring back Almost Makeup

"This is a terrible replacement for Almost Makeup. It is heavier on my face and does not go on as well as Almost Makeup. It does not stand up well in the humidity and heat. I could wear the Almost Makeup to work in the garden and to swim and feel confident that I looked good without my foundation running off my face. This container is messy, hard to close and gets all over everything when putting on. Please, please bring back Almost Makeup."

"This makeup is ok, although I can't seem to get a shade that looks really natural, even by mixing shades. Almost Makeup was perfect for me. It covered well and looked natural. I don't like the look of heavy makeup, and I will make do with this product, but I sure would like to have Almost Makeup back."

I bought the wrong color

Pros: improved my skin texture, worked well with my rosacea

Cons: shade i picked too light

"My mistake, I bought too light a color and this moisturizer tint was too light for me, but I used up the whole bottle anyway because my skin texture got better and better each time I used the moisturizer. I have rosacea and it didn't make the rosacea worse. I prefer a natural look and this was a bit heavier than I personally like but on the other hand it had no scent which I can be allergic to. I will just order a darker shade next time and use it more sparingly and all will be good."

New moisture surge vs. almost makeup

"Horrible, heavy and thick. The bottle is terrible, I could use my almost makeup down to the last drop. This bottle starts squirting makeup everywhere when about half done. I store it upside down and squeeze it over the sink, so I don't get it all over me and my clothes. Please go back to the almost makeup or at least it's packaging. I had used it for 15 + years and now am looking at other brands. This stuff is awful!!"

Horrible "replacement" for Almost Makeup

"I have been a long-time Clinique customer, using the products for 30 years! When Almost Makeup came out, it was perfect for me. I was disappointed to learn that it had been discontinued, but was told that there was this Moisture Surge that would be the perfect replacement. It is awful! It is gloppy, has a funny color and texture to it, and worst of all, it made my face break out terribly (which I have never had). I went back to scraping out the last bit of Almost Makeup that I had in the tube, and it has taken me two weeks for my face to clear up from the Moisture Surge breakout. Please, please - bring back the Almost Makeup line!!!"

Perfect Choice for Me!

"I am a lifelong Clinique fan, and have tried many, many products either through purchase or the bonus gifts. However, I most recently had been using a foundation from a different brand that was much higher priced and was also very nice. That product had been discontinued, so I turned back to Clinique.
This tinted moisturizer is pretty fantastic. It provides coverage, but you feel like you aren't wearing makeup at all!! I got Shade 3, and it instantly blends right into my skin tone to the point where I barely see it even while still applying it! It feels lovely on, too. I have not tried "building" coverage but I am sure it would still look as natural. I have been using the Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser to remove it prior to my 3 step."

Pros: soft & creamy coverage

"Although I used Almost Makeup for years, I tried this product last summer and liked it. In order to make it feel lighter like Almost Makeup, I amply apply moisturizer to face and while palms are still slick from the moisturizer, dab the foundation onto my palms, rub them together and apply to face before moisturizer has totally been absorbed. My only problem is that while 04 is just right for summer, 03 is too dark for winter and 02 is too light. Now have an 02 and an 04 and can shade as suits my skin tone no matter what season. Works better with the concealers than Almost Makeup did so that's a big plus."

"I had really dry skin by the time winter hit so I started researching different Clinique foundations. The moisture surge tinted moisterizer caught my eye! I went to a clinique counter for a consultation and she put this on my face and I fell in love! I use this every single day with a foundation brush (more even coverage) and it looks amazing! "For my skin, this product delivers where Almost Makeup never did. Judging from other reviews, if you loved the old Almost Makeup, you won't like this, but if Almost Makeup frustrated you, this is worth a try. Over Moisture Surge this is great, soft, hydrating, true color (I'm a bit on the yellow side), doesn't settle in creases or lines, moderate even coverage and long-lasting."

Cons: hard to blend, heavy feeling

"I've never heard anything about this product when I bought it, and honestly, it's not that bad. If you have oily skin, stay far away! I feel like my skin was greasy by the end of the day, even when using blotting papers. The coverage is actually pretty good, but nothing comparable to a sheer foundation. Blending this sucker is almost impossible, I've found I have to use my moisturizer in order to make it semi-blendable! It also leaves a heavy feeling on your skin if you don't blend it out.

Overall, I'd say get a sample first. But even after using this product since October, I'll never repurchase this ever again."
