"I just read all the reviews from contact lens wearers and those who said this shadow won't last. That has not been my experience at all. I haven't had a bit of trouble with my contacts (I wear throw-away dailies), and the shadow stays put. I'm 61 with very dry skin, so maybe it's good for dry skin. I really love this and was really happy they brought it back in this new formulation. Keep it coming, Clinique!"

Pros: nice color selection

Cons: cloudy build-up on contact lenses, not long lasting, not worth it for the price

"I started using this product about 2 months ago and immediately began having problems with protien-like build-up on my contacts. I initially thought it was from seasonal allergies setting in early but have determined it is from this product. I was told this was a better alternative than the touch base which is what I bought it for. This is going back to the store! I highly recommend to all contact lense wearers NOT to purchase this product. Not worth it."

Such high hopes

Cons: slips, awkward to apply, creases, doesn't last

"I had such high hopes for this product when I saw all the colors, but it was a disappointment. It slips and creases, and is a mess to use (the tip is awkward and doesn't smooth anything, so I ended up using my finger anyway). I could live with all of that, but by noon it doesn't look like I have anything on! It seems to vanish into thin air. I am back to the touch base, although I wish it had the color selection this has!"

Cons: doesn't stay put

"I was told this could be used as a base and wouldn't crease, and was long wearing. The first time I used it, I noticed that my contacts were irritating my eyes and kept feeling like they had protein buildup. The next time I used it, I realized the shadow was "moving" and getting in my eyes. Of course, the ladies at the Clinique counter were more than happy to take it back. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wears contacts."

"love the lid smoothie! easy to apply and it lasts the entire day. I got Sassy-fras color, it's a great color! I also like the design of the lid smoothie. usually creamy eye shadow from other brands tend to dry up after some time, this lid smoothie doesn't - probably due to the tube design."

"I am really unhappy with this product. I was happy when I saw the number of colors that it came in, and loved how it looked when I spread some on the side of my hand at the Clinique counter. But using it is a different story. I find the applicator hard to use and very messy. It doesn't spread evenly, and it is very hard to get into the corners without it getting everywhere. When I use it I now put it on my finger and then put it on my lids, which still is not ideal. I really miss the Quickeyes. The little sponge tip applicator was perfect for applying it, and it set immediately. I had no trouble applying my Quickliner immediately after putting it on. This product does not set as fast, and I have a hard time applying my Quickliner right after putting it on my lids. Many times the shimmer actually shows through the Quickliner, even the Intense! I also find that the color does not stay even at all and by the end of the day you can see my skin color coming through unevenly on my lids, something that never happened when using Quickeyes. All I can say is that when I am in a hurry I always reach for the little I have left of my Quickeyes. I really wish Clinique would bring Quickeyes back and just add more colors to the line. The applicator and the formula are so much better than this product. I don't care if it goes on cool, I care more that it goes on smoothly and doesn't make a mess."

"I preferred the Quick Eyes, but since that is discontinued I tried this product. I do like this shadow; for me it stays on all day and does not crease however I would prefer less shimmer. I do wear glasses so the shimmer is not quite as noticible on me. I love the colors sassy fras and currant affair, which I use daily. I also have seventh heather but I feel that is very light and use this as a base for powder shadow. I use the concealer brush to apply evenly over my lids then I use my finger to blend. This goes on very smooth and stays put."

"I came back from an overseas trip to find with horror that my everyday, go-to, beloved quick eyes shadow is discontinued! I work in a hot country, it is the only shadow that stayed put. I am in my late 50's, it was the only cream shadow with a hint of shimmer. Your new lid smoothie is a terrible mistake; too thick, and what's with all the greys? hangover-look if you are over 25. Lucky Penny Quick Eyes and shadow in Cider are going to be terribly, horribly missed by this loyal customer."

"As a base, this product is great. Compared to touch base (which I love, by the way), smoothies last much longer and for that reason, worth the price. If used under powder eyeshadow, lid smoothie stays put and doesn't crease. Applicator does feel nice and refreshing on the lid, though you'll need to use a brush or finger to blend the product.
Although, it does feel kind of oily and creases by mid-day, if used alone. Not to mention the color is not quite there (I used bit-o-honey, pink-go biloba and seventh heather). Colors are hardly visible even on my very fair skin. I'm not sure if it has something to do with a pigment or very sheer texture, but the colors that look great in the tube, almost completely disappear on my lid:("

"I was very disappointed that another product I use everyday has been discontinued. The Quick Eyes Cream Shadow was so much better and had prettier colors. I bought the Lid Smoothie in the closest shade to what I was using, but it is not a good color. Also, the texture is thicker and does not go on smoothly. The cooling tip is just a gimmick. It adds nothing to the product. I am not happy. Please bring back QUICK EYES !!"

This product, Lid Smoothie, is not good for age over 65...It goes

There is a lot of us old timers out here...Create makeup for us, not just wrinkle creams."

Bring Back Quick Eyes!

"I got this when (to my dismay) I discovered they had discontinued Quick Eyes. I figured it would be close to the same, just different packaging. I got the closest color I could find to my fav Quick Eyes, and gave it a whirl. This stuff works nothing like Quick Eyes, and is not worth the price tag! Creases within hours, applicator is horrible, it's much thicker and gooier (Quick Eyes was nice and lightweight), and colors are nowhere near as good, in my opinion. Please, please bring back Quick Eyes!"

"I have been a Clinique customer for 20 years. I absolutely loved the product Quick Eyes Cream Shadow. I had practically every color. For some reason, Clinique discontinued the product and now carries the Lid Smoothie. The Lid Smoothie's applicator is not engineered well. The shape is not helpful when applying the product. Also, the product creases after a short time. It does not stay on my eyelids. I am so disappointed."

"truly cooling on application, which is smooth and does help powder shadows stay for the day. BUT, as a rather mature woman with the associated skin changes, a matte finish would be just wonderful. Creases and lines on the eyelids would be less noticeable. And I do use matte powder shadows. thanks"

Pros: gorgeous colors and lasts all day.

"I can rarely wear eye shadow because it irritates my skin, but this is perfect. I can wear all day, everyday and have no problems. I apply with a brush, it goes on much easier. You can definitely build up the color from subtle to intense by applying more or less. I have three colors and plan to buy a fourth soon.

It also lasts all day without creasing."

Pros: handy tube natural colors lasts a long time

"Being a Clinique fan since years, yesterday I bought this product (bit o honey) and I've tried it this morning. I love the little tube, is handy to carry in my makeup bag and just a tiny tiny drop does the trick. It didn't crease nor faded ( it's summer here in Argentina and very humid) so I'm glad that this eye shadow didn't fade through the day. Not to mention that you can get a very natural look, something that is a must for me. I thought it was a bit pricey but considering the little amount you need to use and the quality, I'll certainly buy other shades. Thanks Clinique for another great product!"
