"I have been a Clinique customer for 40 years (since I was a teenager).Loved,loved, loved Dewey Smooth foundation..It was discontinued, so Repairwear was suggested to replace Dewy Smooth...Does not last..Makes my skin look older, instead of younger...I tried several shades & all make skin look washed out...Clinique, PLEASE PLEASE bring back Dewy Smooth..That was the best foundation I ever have used..."

"This foundation is terrible! It settles into all of your fine lines. I feel that if anything, when i wear it I look about 10 years OLDER! The color is also very yellow/ orange. I will absolutely never buy it again."

"The original repair ware was the first foundation I have found (after 30 years of searching) that I really really loved. For those of us not blessed with perfect skin, you know how hard it is to feel good about your skin. Finally this made me feel confident about my skin.
Have found nothing close to it, and this formula makes it worse. I have broken out, no coverage. I sadly feel 17 again. No more confidence about wearing my hair up, taking pictures or getting COMPLIMENTS!
The suggestions on site to use Perfectly Real or Continuous Coverage are utterly useless. Neither is even CLOSE!
Sad and searching!"

Cons: thin color coverage

"I have used Clinique for well over 25 years and loved the make up. I hate this new repairwear.
I have bought three times and the colors are off or I haven' t gotten matched at all. It is thin and doesn't cover well.
By the afternoon it is wearing off. I use the powder and blush.
I dislike this very much. If you want coverage or moiisture you better buy something else.
I am very disappointed that they changed the soft finish. I always got compliments on that and it covered so great.
Please Clinique hear our pleas for help."

"The NEW Repairwear Laser Focus makes my skin look old, REALLY OLD. It is much thinner and drier feeling than the OLD Repairwear. This product accents my pores and fine lines . I have tried several Clinique foundations and this one is absolutely the worst!"

"I absolutely hate the new formula. It didn't cover well and it didn't last all day. The original formula was the best foundation I have ever found. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. BRING BACK THE ORGINAL FORMULA!!!! This is a sorry substitute for the original and I won't be buying it again."

"Not happy with the "NEW" Repairwear Laser Focus. Goes on very thinly and doesn't provide the coverage I need. I have a decent complexion but this just does not work for me anymore. Trying to find a Clinique foundation but having no success and may have to, sadly, switch to another brand."

"I have been using clinique for 25 years. This is the first time that they may not have a foundation for my dry sensitive skin. I was looking for a replacement foundation for the discontinued Soft Finish. This is not a suitable replacement. It doesn't give a natural look. Does not glide on as easily as the Soft Finish. After 5 days it caused breakouts. I may be having a sensitivity to the SPF. The super moisture has too much moisture. All of the other products either have an SPF or they are too drying.. I wish Clinique would not discontinue products that customers love and buy faithfully."

"For over 20 years I used the Soft Finish foundation and absolutely loved the way it gave my skin a flawless appearance; however, when I needed a replacement, I was told that my Soft Finish makeup was being replaced by the repairwear laser focus. I ordered a bottle and was very disappointed in the way it made my face feel. I felt like I had a layer of wax on my face, and the look was anything but attractive. Please....please...please Clinique, bring back my Soft Finish makeup!"

"Where is your customer loyalty? Why on earth would you discontinue such an amazing product that your loyal customers have used for years? I have never used a better foundation than the old repairwear. I cannot find any foundation like it.. You have lost a lot of customers because of this, including myself, i would have been coming back to Clinique for that foundation till i was old and gray.. Now i wont be coming back to you ever."

Cons: should bring back the old repairwear

"What a shame the formula has changed as the old one was perfect for me. I went to buy my usual, the assistant told me that #4 shade that I used before would be the same shade, I bought it and as soon as I tried it the shade was very different and consistency and coverage totally wrong for me. I have to travel 90 miles to the nearest Clinique store. Not sure which to go with now."

"This replaces the discontinued Clinique repairwear anti-aging makeup that was wonderful. This new repairwear laser focus is thin and dry, offers poor coverage and gives the skin a chalky appearance. It no longer has the convenient pump applicator. Clinique should bring back the previous product in all the original shades."

"I loved the old version of repairwear. This does not provide full coverage. Many of the positive reviews mention light coverage as a selling point. The population that needs light coverage is already serviced by a multitude of foundations (from Clinique and competitors). For those of us who require full coverage, there are no other options. I finally had to buy the fullest Competitor's foundation. The sales lady tried to to talk me out of it and explained that it is for people who have scars or other serious things they need to cover. It is way too thick and does not come close to matching my skin tone, but this is what it has come to."

"I have used the old RapairWear foundation for many years and love it. I assumed I would love the new formula...But I hate it! It is so thin and does not provide my skin with the amount of coverage as the old formula. I guess I will have to go back to the old foundation in a tube that I used to use? Yuk! Or maybe I will have to switch brands? I hate that I have to do this. I was so happy for so long with the old formula!"

Good Foundation

"I loved the old formula of Repairwear, and was surprised to find the new formula when I purchased it. No, there isn't a pump but I still had one left from my old bottle, so that problem is solved. The colors are slightly different (darker), and the product doesn't have the same "feel" but I'm getting used to it. I use a sponge to apply it and that seems to work. I also dust translucent powder on after. One use isn't enough to form an opinion, so I've tried it for 3 months. Not the same as the old formula, but still a good foundation. If you bring back the original though, I'd definitely switch back!!!"

"I didn't even notice that it was a different Repairwear until I opened the bottle while I was rushing to get ready for work. I LOVED the anti-aging formula. This one not so much. :-( Why would Clinique do this to their loyal customers?"
