"Back when I was 16 (I'm now 32), I used Black Honey and Think Bronze Almost Lipsticks. Eventually all of the colors were discontinued except for Black Honey. I've been looking all over for sheer lipsticks like this and was so happy to find that Clinique had introduced some new shades! Lovely Honey is just the thing I was looking for. When I wear it, I feel more polished and ready to meet clients, but I'm not overly made up, which is important to me for everyday wear. It has just a tad more color than my natural lip color - perfect. And it goes on smoothly and is NOT sticky, unlike lip glosses, which I hate. I only wish it were longer lasting once on my lips. I love it anyway. I REALLY hope that Clinique will keep these products around for a long time!"

"When it comes to make up I like to try before, so I was apprehensive about purchasing this product online. But I went ahead and order Black Honey anyway. All I can say is WOW! The color is beautiful on me (African American btw). Not too dark with a hint of shine and surprisingly it lasts most of the day. I did reapply after eating but that's to be expected with such a light color. Otherwise it is just great."

Tender Honey

Pros: sheer moisturizing non-sticky non-shimmery

"I've used Black Honey for years. I love the finish and feel. I was excited to hear that they were offering more colors in the line, again(as they seem to do every few years). I completely expected to pick up the darker shades, but I took a chance on Tender Honey, a sheer nude, even though it swatched almost invisible on my hand. It is an absolutely perfect sheer pinky nude to wear as a tinted balm or to balance dramatic eye make-up. With the right lip pencil, it would probably be a great weeding color for fair brides. I am very fair with naturally pigmented lips, so it is really hard to find flattering nudes that don't look like calamine lotion. I really hope this isn't a limited edition."

"I was so impressed with black honey that I bought 2 more - shy honey and lovely honey. I wasn't as impressed with shy honey. I knew when I ordered it that it wasn't going to be as noticeable as black honey, but it is almost imperceptible even to me. Lovely honey and black honey are fantastic! Highly recommend!"

"I like Clinique's lipsticks because they have no taste or scent. I hate the taste of most lipsticks. This is very natural feeling and moisturizing on my lips.

"As Clinique says, Almost Lipstick is "Sheer, glossy. Emollient-rich and very lightweight" and it is. Black Honey is an Iconic shade and very wearable. I recently purchased the new Spicy Honey shade and love how natural it is. Just enough color and shine for everyday wear."

Better than lipstick or gloss

Pros: natural color to fit many skin tones, nice shine and not too sticky, soft on the lips

Cons: certainly isn't a "long lasting" lip product

"I'd tried the Black Honey color previously, but at that time I was disappointed that it was the only color available. Happily the other week I discovered that there were these new colors to try out. I made sure to get black honey again of course. I picked Tender Honey as a light natural color for my lips, but have gladly found that the Spicy Honey also looks excelent and natural on my lips. I'm absolutely loving these colors. I hope these colors will remain an option by Clinique permanently. It may not be long lasting, but it's worth it to me. I prefer this product over lipstick and glosses."

"I've always loved Almost Lipstick. It works for special occasions and events, and it isn't heavy or thick like some lipsticks can be. Years ago I used Blackberry and Raspberry. I found the display of the new almost lipsticks at the store I frequent the most and tried a few of them. I settled on Chic Honey first, although I'll be back for more. Chic Honey resembles Black Honey but has a little less raisin and a little more raspberry tone to it. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. So moisturizing. Thanks, Clinique. And thanks for the Repairwear Uplifting moistiurizer. So glad to see Zero Gravity go!"

Pros: feel on the lips, color

"I have to say that I was not so sure about this product at first, like so many other people were. I'm very fair, have strawberry-blonde/red hair, and few freckles. I just got this in today and am very pleasantly surprised. It has a great feel on my lips and yes, it is a lovely color even for me. I liked it with just one swipe and even with three or four to get darker. I do think that this is one of those products that was worth my time, and I'm looking forward to giving it a long-haul test. When I put it on, I just happened to be wearing an orange shirt, and it didn't work so great with that color on my torso. But I changed shirts a few minutes later and loved the color on my lips - I say this just to give you some perspective on the undertones of the shade - more pinkish/purple than coral/orange. I showed my fiance the tube, and he looked downright scared for me, but after I put it on he agreed that it was a nice color, even though he doesn't really like it when I have noticeable makeup on. I'm impressed so far."

"I absolutely LOVE this product. I used to buy several colors of it and was sad when Clinique cut them all out except for Black Honey. I love that color, but I wanted more! The texture of this product is so great. Not greasy or sticky at all like most glosses, substantial as a lipstick, with a sheer, buildable color. It also has no fragrance which I appreciate. I will be buy tons of this, both in the Black Honey AND all the exciting new shades. Please don't take this away! I emailed my friends to let them know about the new color range, we have all been waiting and hoping. Thank you so much!"

"I've tried this in Spicy Honey and Flirty Honey. To look at the color in the tube is very deceiving, the colors look intimidating, but they go on great, subtle and beautiful. It feels great too, not heavy or like I have to keep an eye on it to make sure I don't have it on my teeth, it stays put. Love this stuff and I've already turned some friends on to it."

Only lipstick i wear

"lipstick used to be a four letter word to me. i HATE lipstick - its heavy and no matter what brand always sticky - yuck! i have purchased and thrown out more lipsticks over the years than i care to admit. that said - i LOVE - LOVE - LOVE this lipstick. i have been wearing black honey religiously for 10+ years and will die if it ever gets discontinued - yeh, seriously die! it took way too long to find it and i just can't do that search again. it it light, easy to apply and gives me just the right amount of color without being overpowering or getting on my teeth or any of the other annoying things that regular lipstick has a tendency to do."

"I bought the New Chic Honey and I absolutely LOVE it!! It is a beautiful violet color. Please do not discontinue it!! I have been waiting and hoping that Clinique would bring back more colors in the Almost lipstick & was very happy to see the new colors. The color swatch is off though, it looks brown and it is more of a violet shade. Very pretty. I highly recomend it!! I like that the color is sheer but still has a lot of pigment & feels good on. very moisturizing. Thanks Clinique!!"
