"I have dark brown hair, med-light skin, and grayish blue eyes. Ebb and Flow works well for me, without being too green. I had a hard time finding it though in stores; it's very popular! I've read some users say that they don't think Clinique colors are pigmented enough or bright enough. They aren't supposed to be; they are universal colors for every age. If you want bright bold colors, this isn't where you should be looking! With enough layering, you can achieve visible results though."

Pros: great color combos

Cons: too sheer, messy, flaky texture

"I really, really wanted to love this eyeshadow. I love the color combinations; I also love the packaging, with a large mirror and applicators that actually work well, so it would be great to take in my purse during the day, or when travelling. BUT much of the convenience is lost because you absolutely need to use a primer with this shadow. The consistency is odd--it's somehow more powdery than other shadows. When I put it on it doesn't adhere properly and I get a little dusting of shadow around my eyes and on the tops of my cheeks--messy. Need the primer to make it really stick to my lids. Then, the color is VERY SHEER. Without primer, it's almost invisible; even with primer, you have to use a lot for it to even be suitable for day."

"You cannot go wrong with any of Clinique's eyeshadow. I have owned many of the colors and have never been disappointed. They are all smooth and creamy, glide on easily and have a beautiful sheen to them. Current favorites are Lilac Truffle in the duo and Ebb and Flow in the trio, which is has more of a green tint to it rather than the blue that the photo shows- but that's totally a good thing!"

Pros: easy to apply, non-irritant, applies smoothly, doesn't crease

"I bought this in Come Heather. It applies evenly, you can build it up to the intensity you want for a light and fresh day time look to a smokier night time look. It's so versatile. Best of all? It doesn't crease!! I am loving these shadows so much I think I may need to get it in other colors IMMEDIATELY!"

"Clinique has the best shadows! This set is just great. It lasts all day and I work long days. The light colors in this set are great with my deeper purple shades that I like. I blend these in to produce a less dramatic effect for the work day."

"I bought this Trio in "Seafoam" and I just love the colors. They aren't sparkly (which I hate on my 52 year old eyes) but they aren't totally matte either. Just a soft, dicreet shimmer. The colors blend beautifully and compliment my blue/grey eyes quite nicely.
Will probably purchase again in another color combo...maybe the soft nude colors.
This is a great product and I expect nothing less from Clinique!"

Good eye shadow

"I gave this eye shadow a 4 star rating because the shades are too dark for how fair skinned I am. If they offered a lighter selection I would give it 5 stars. However, I do love how long lasting the shades are and how smoothly they go on. I love the extra long applicator too. I wish it came in the duo and quads. It's much easier to hold and use."

"Great colors that stay on. Easy to blend. The colors are subtle and flattering.
My only gripe was having to go to dept. stores to get more, so finding Clinique.com is fantastic! Great service and quick delivery. I like in store experience, but when I am in a hurry, online ordering is wonderful."

Cons: i run out of one color before the others are gone

"I really like the variety of colors - it helps me blend, hightlight & shadow the eye lid. I tend to run out of the darkest color first. I'm 50, so I like the matte colors better than the frost. The frosted ones tend to emphasize my wrinkles."
