If It Wasn't For the Sparkles...

"I would have given Perfectly Real 5 Stars! I agree with the review above who commented on the sparkles. PLEASE take these sparkles out for the mature/professional face. My son even commented when the sunshine was on my face. He said, "Mom, why do you have sparkles on your face" DARN! and I love the color, texture so much!"

great foundation

"This foundation in shade 01 is the closest match to my color that Clinique makes. When I apply it to my entire face I use a kabuki type synthetic buffing brush which makes it look very even, smooth, and airbrushed. Or I just apply lightly to areas that need it with a traditional synthetic foundation brush, which is my favorite way of wearing it since I like looking as natural as possible. And then I lightly blend it in by patting over with my fingers to make sure it is seamless. The lightest color in all the other Clinique liquid foundations are not light enough to match my skin. It took me a long time to find an alcohol free, oil free, non skin irritating, fragrance free foundation with a color match that allows me not to always have to wear it all over my face. Please don't discontinue this foundation Clinique."

Very Caked on Looking

"I usually love Clinique products. I've used Even Better foundation before and fell in love with it. Recently needed a new foundation so I have decided to get something new, because even though I love Even Better makeup, i feel like it gives me a maximum coverage and even though its looks amazing, i thought it was too much for everyday look, going to school/work, etc. So I went online and read so much reviews about this Perfectly Real foundation and I was like I gotta try it !!! Yes, it applies amazingly, very smooth and soft, but this one didn't give me any coverage at all!! I would put it on, and an hour or two later it would look like I don't have anything on, and for me that is a problem since i have blemishes, few breakouts here and there, a little bit of redness and dark under eye circles. Usually my skin is not dry or oily, but my face would shine and look very oily after applying this foundation. Basically did not work for me. If you have blemishes like me which you want to cover for the whole day, I'd recommend getting something else."

"This foundation has a good shade selection. I use the very lightest 1N shade and it's a really good shade for me. I have ivory pale skin, but with neutral/very light golden undertone, so it's difficult to find a very light foundation that is not too orange or pink. The formula feels weightless, glides on smoothly, looks natural, doesn't further dry out my dry skin, and I was very pleased that it is fragrance-free and does not irritate my allergies. The only downside for me is that it seems I have to apply more of this product and layer it to get moderate coverage and just generally use more of it each application than with most foundations. I applaud Clinique for having more shade selection in this foundation. It would be nice if the other foundations also had more variety."

"I wear this makeup and really like it. I usually have to drive 50-60 minutes to find a store that sells it. I was out and didn't want to drive the distance so I ordered it online when they had free shipping (which saved me 6.00). I ordered it on Thursday evening and had it on Monday!!! Great Service!!!! BEST ON OILY SKIN

"Went from Workout Makeup (discont.) to this as suggested by cosmetic rep. The coverage is good, I have a few dark freckles it minimizes, but it drags on when applying unlike the Workout makeup did. I use the Dramatically different moisturizer underneath, as I always have, and it still pulls when applying. I think this is a good product for someone with Oily skin vs. my age 55 dry in places skin. My coloring is'; Dr. Brown hair, medium complexion with Hazel eyes. The color I use is #22. Color #10 was first try but too light, and those inbetween gave yellow tones instead of pink undertones, however this is still giving a gold/orange hue to it. I MISS MY WORKOUT MAKEUP it worked great for years,years,years... anyway. I'll be making another choice once this tube is gone."

Pleasantly surprised!

Pros: light, good color options, natual-looking

"So, I've only used this foundation for one day, but I am completely and totally impressed. I have been at my wit's end lately trying to figure out why I can fry an egg on my face (EVERY part of my face) by midday, because when I didn't wear makeup, I got oily, but not THAT oily. Finally, after trying to tweak my actual skincare routine, I had a thought--maybe it's the makeup I'm wearing! I had been wearing the Acne Solutions liquid makeup, and I had been thinking of finding another foundation lately because the lightest color of it seems to be just a tad too dark for my skin.

So, after meeting with my friendly neighborhood Clinique consultant, I walked away with a sample of this in Shade 02 (I was also utterly surprised that I did not wear the lightest shade in this makeup)! I had used Superfit for many YEARS prior to its discontinuation, and had been disappointed in every other foundation I'd tried from Clinique. This is the closest feel to the OLD Superfit that I've found--light, but not too light, and controls oil to a certain extent.

I will update later if things change, but for now I am psyched about finding this foundation! Thanks Clinique!"

Life Changing to Me

Pros: covers well and smoothly., doesn't get nasty after a long time of wear., easily blended.

"I can not live without this foundation now that I have it. I suffered from a bit of acne for a short time as a teenager, but it left me with some red spots, a discolored skin tone, and I have large pores. I have tried a ton of brands of makeup, and you could always tell I had it on and it looked bad. This makeup IS perfectly real. I now am not embarrassed of my skin. It glides on smoothly and lasts and I think it has a pretty good amount of coverage, honestly. And it has spf. It's worth every penny."

Pros: gentle, effective coverage, skin looks radiant, a little goes a long way, looks fresh all day

"I have type 3 skin. I bought this because i wanted a natural radiant appearance with out looking to "made-up". This does it! I only use it in areas like the t-zone to even out my skin tone. It does have a faint shimmer to it, but it seems to enhance my skin's radiance. Looks fresh pretty much all day. I apply it with a foundation brush though. I find that applying it with a sponge puts it on too heavy. But the brush lets me evenly apply it where i need it and gives me the moderate coverage that i seek."

Not what I expected!

"I went to the clinique counter to get my 2 concealers. One of them was discontinued so the rep there sold me on this Perfectly Real Makeup in shade 18. For the 1month & half I've been using it now, my skin is broken out worse than a teenager. I have pretty clear skin with the occasional hormonal pimple. But since using this daily my forhead, hairline, chin, and even cheek is broken out in pimples. This has never happened before with any other clinique product I've used. Im now headed to my skin dr because thats how bad my skin looks right now. Im soo disappointed in this product."

why are there sparkles on my face?

"WHY OH WHY ARE THERE SPARKLES IN THIS FOUNDATION? Clinique please help and remake this for adult women who do not want sparkles on their face. some pros-good coverage, not heavy, natural look, sets well, semi matte. CONS- be aware there are teeny sparkles in this! you cant tell from afar but when looking in the mirror close there's a shimmer in it, not dewy like a highlighter or luminizer but actual sparkles i kid you not. I didnt notice at the store counter with powder over it but at home w foundation alone i spotted it out and am not pleased. I dont want to look like a teenager going to a club. Can we redo this great foundation for professional women please."

Amazing Foundation

"I have been using Clinique's Even Better foundation for a few months now. Since it was the first foundation I had ever used, I always though it was supposed to feel kind of heavy. I've been wanting to try Perfectly Real for quite some time now and I'm so glad I did! My consultant picked the perfect shade immediately and I was very pleased with how light it felt. I was also excited to notice a VERY subtle sheen with this foundation. When I got back home, I wanted to make sure I made a great decision (which I already knew I had). I decided to do a "half and half" test on my face. On the left side, I applied Even Better and on the right, Perfectly Real. I waited about 10 minutes and tested each side. The side with Perfectly Real looked so natural and added some much needed radiance. Perfectly Real also made my face so incredibly soft and smooth! The side with Even Better still had that heavy foundation feeling to it and my face looked quite dull. I've found a winner!"

Pros: natural finish! feels great!

"I have oily, breakout prone skin. I use Clinique's Acne Solutions Skin Care 3 Step (plus Dramatically Different Gel) to control my acne, and it also controls my oil. I like my makeup to look natural, like I am not really wearing any...I don't want to look like I am covering anything up. I LOVE this liquid foundation...it is VERY natural looking, and gives my skin a natural look. I add a bit of concealer where I really need it, and I finish with Clinique's Translucent Powder....I LOVE this foundation. If you want something totally matte, then you might not like it...but Dry Combo skin - oily can wear it =]"

"i think this makeup works best for someone with dry-normal skin who wants more coverage. to me, it felt a little thick and hard to blend; but i'm used to superfit's thinner consistency. i do think that it is good for someone who wants a dewy, natural look with coverage, but for me, with my oily-combo skin, it was a little too dewy."
