"Great basic mascara. Love that it comes off with soap and water. And it doesn't irritate my very sensitive eyes! (My sensitivity issues are one thing that make me so loyal to clinique--I've never had a problem with anything, which I can't say for other lines!)

I think the comb is a little weird, though. I didn't feel like it helped define at all--it seemed to add a lot of clumps and stick separate lashes together. I just avoid that part of the application wand when using, and it's worked out fine for me.

I am very glad that clinique mascara comes in black/brown--I'm blonde with fair skin and black looks much too dramatic. I'd love it if they had an even lighter shade--a chocolate brown, perhaps, but I'll take what I can get."

"The mascara covers well and the defining side of the brush is really helpful. However, DON'T touch your eyes! The mascara tends to flake a little and leaves a little black circle around the bottom of your eye. Easy to remove."

"This mascara did what it said. It defined. I wish it would lengthen as well though. I do like that it has the double sided brush so I could definitely reach all my lashes. My lashes are soft and not clumpy or rock hard/brittle feeling. It was easy to use and hasn't flaked at all. If this would lengthen and/or was waterproof, I would keep buying!"

"Well to be honest I don't know how you could "brush then comb" because all the mascara sticks to the comb. But if you use the comb to apply the mascara and then use the brush to even it out it actually works well and is a good mascara."

"I bought this mascara hoping for the results some of the other reviewers got (a couple of reviewers said people actually asked them if they were wearing false eyelashes). Anyway, this mascara didn't work as well for me as it worked for them. It didn't make my lashes look great, just average. A big bonus is that it did not irritate my eyes as most mascaras do since I have very sensitive eyes (I'm new to Clinique and this is actually why I started shopping Clinique products). Anyway, I did return it and am trying another...we'll see how it goes."

"When I first opened it I was scared because I thought I wouldn't know how to use it. Well, I used it for the first time and my lashes popped just like I was wearing false lashes. I use the brush first then use the comb on my top lashes and just the comb on my bottom lashes. My lashes look amazing and long and I love it!"
