"I wanted to like this product - I know it has excellent ingredients. But it just did not work well for me:
1) My skin is oily combo but I needed an additional oil-free moisturizer still on the dryer areas of my face (cheek down to jaw). Without the moisturizer, this product is very thick and difficult to apply on this area.
2) Foundation slid right off. By about noon I started to notice my foundation setting into globs. I would fix one and then another would show up. By time I got home from work, my makeup through my oily t-zone was terrible. I also use Turnaround Radiance Renewer so perhaps the two don't work well together.
3) Made me break out. Within 3 days of use I noticed several new blemishes.

Not a complete loss as I am still using it around my eyes over the top of All About Eyes Rich. Since it is in a tube it should last a long time for that.

For the rest of my face, I discovered Cliniques new Even Better SPF 20 Lotion which seems to be working really well for my sensitive, acne-prone 49 year old skin during at least it's first week."

"very good. suited my skin and needs perfectly. I only had one issue with it. It is a little thick and takes some effort to blend. I mixed it with a bit of daily moisturizer and it worked like a charm the second time I used it."

"I am new to Clinique, and saw that this product had good reviews - I can see why!! I have combination skin that is VERY sensitive and breakout prone, and have avoided lotions for all those reasons, while at the same time needing a daily SPF. This one is great! It definitely controls the oil on my face all day, and is perfect alone (it has a little bit of a tint) or as a makeup primer. It also doesn't irritate at all, or make me break out! I definitely recommend it to anyone who has ever had issues with trying to find the right product. The only thing I would change is it would be nice if it had a little more tint, but that's the least of my issues - I'm very happy I found it!"

"I love this stuff! I normally can't wear anything with SPF, but this is fine on my skin. It goes on so smooth and has a slight coverage...very slight! It has antioxidants which I swear have helped my skin tone. I love it, I want to find a light foundation/tinted moisture similar to this.

WONDERFUL! Also, the Clinique makeup artists recommended it as a primer, and it works awesome for that too! I can't say enough about this stuff!"

Great lightweight sun protection

"I was surprised at how well this product performed. It is great for those who may be oilier. I live in a hot & humid climate and this stays on all day, and as a bonus helps keep my makeup from melting away. It also helps to absorb oil in my T zone. Most sunscreen containing products made my T zone an oil slick before lunch, but not with this. I have also noticed that my skin looks healthier."

"I started using this after the 3 step acne treatment, but when I saw that it made my skin look slightly pale I stopped using it. I tend to pop blemishes when they get really big and sometimes they haven't turned white yet. Then I'd have this dark spot on my face and I didn't want to have to buy another expensive product. And, I found out that the sun greatly exaggerates darks spots and then skin on a blemish is more sensitive. So, I started using the sun screen and it actually looks like my dark spots are getting lighter. Since I still occasionally pop blemishes when I can't seem to resist the urge or accidentally pop it. After using the acne treatment I use the sun screen, so that there's no dark spot or it's very light. So far, it's working very well for me."

"Hello there! I recommend the city block sheer that protects your face from sun damage and makes your skin look fantastic. Since my teenage years I have suffered from break-outs and redness because of the zits, and I am completely amazed that being sheer and all, this protector has given me a great complexion evening out my skin tone. It does it without feeling heavy in your face, you feel like you have nothing on... but yet, it makes all the difference!! I am so in love with it because it just makes me look pretty and feel confident AND protected from the sun!!!

"I love this product for use in winter. I originally purchased it thinking I could use it all year round but my skin gets a bit oilier in summer and this is far too heavy for summer use for me. For winter, however, I love it! The slight tint doesn't really show on my skin, which is fine with me. It also doesn't cause my acne to flare, which is a huge bonus. Great UVA protection too."

"i have been using this product for over 3 years. I absolutely love it. I apply once a day every morning, regardless if i am going to wear make up or not. It offers great oil-free protection from the sun, and living in Florida, believe me, its needed. I do top it off with a much higher SPF if am going to be outdoors all day or at the beach. But for daily use is perfect!"

"I tried this for the first time today and so far so good. I learned this morning that a little goes a long way though. It is also kind of oily feeling when you first apply it so I let it absorb a little before I applied my foundation. I didn't notice a tint as some other reviews talked about. But my face hasn't been oily today like it normally is and it seems to make my make up stay on better throughout the day. I'm looking forward to using this product during the summer when I don't feel like applying make up or I'm going to be on the water during the day."

"I love the City Block sunscreen so much, I don't know what I'll do if Clinique ever discontinues it. This is the only make-up I consistently buy over and over again. I put this on over my moisturizer every morning, and it instantly evens out my skin tone and gives me a glow. I don't need to wear foundation when I use this. It provides just enough sheer coverage to give me the natural look I like, while providing SPF coverage. Also non-irritating and fragrance free. All in all, the perfect product!"

"I read about this product on Paulas' Choice and she favorably reviewed it. I was looking for a daily sunscreen that was oil-free to protect my skin during the day, and I also wanted something with antioxidants in it. This product is wonderful; not only is it a good sunscreen that I feel great about wearing, but it evens my skin tone when I put it on because of its slight tint. I find when I put it on I'm less prone to use foundation because it evens my skin tone and sops up a bit of oil. I'd highly recommend this product."

"This is a great sunscreen with a bit of tint. The lady at Clinique suggested this to me because my favorite moisturizer doesn't have a SPF. She said that the it appears to have a tint but it disappears when you put it on? That's not the case. The tint does not disappear, but I actually like it, it evens out your skin tone..kind of like a tinted moisturizer, it's very sheer. The tint is a nude color. It's oil free which is excellent! And it's very easy to blend in and put on. It's not thick like a regular sunscreen from a drugstore. A lot of face creams can make my face sweat because it's too heavy. This product will not do that. It's also chemical free if you are allergic to the sunscreens with chemicals. It smells like paint, but only if your smelling it out of the bottle, you don't really notice it & you can't smell it on your face either. Overall it's great, just one thing..your face can look a little white, ok.. very white if you take a picture while using the flash too soon after putting it on. Make sure you let it absorb before taking pictures! This is a great product that I would buy again."
