"I wanted a non foundation foundation. Something with very light coverage, but still covers what I need/want the powder to cover. It also absorbs oil, so you have no shine! It's definitely a must have for me!
I do wish they had a super-size or extra large version of this. However, even though I use it every day. It has lasted me a couple of months so far."

"This powder does not control my oil or shine! I have a lot of issues in the nose area especially and it doesn't do anything! I just end up having a shiny nose and it's disgusting! Also, the powder is so sheer, it provides no coverage for me and then on top of that, my makeup soaks in and it really looks weird.

I'd recommend that you get a different powder if you want more coverage. On top of that, test it at the store, because if it doesn't control the shine there, then don't waste your money buying it. I have never found a solution through clinique and I'm ready to give up!"

"The perfect thing for my oily skin. Provides very sheer coverage, and certainly does help absorb oil. I replaced the sponge with a brush, which I like much better. I also bought an extra to keep in my purse for mid-day touch-ups."

"I don't like wearing makeup, usually just eye and lip, but I want a spot treatment for when I get too oily. When I first apply it is fine, hardly tell its there... but as the day goes it starts to make my skin feel dirty.
Works enough to continue using, but not well enough to buy again.
I recommend, if possible, to go in store and test it out."

"This powder did well to help mattify the shine. Being extra oily, I did need to use it every 3 hours or so, but that is a lot better than what I'm used to. In my experience though, it doesn't work for touch-ups because it is so sheer. I purchased the Perfectly Real Compact Powder and that does the trick."

Pros: absorbs oil., don't have to reapply., doesn't cause acne...may improve acne., smooth finish., perfect for oily/acne prone skin.

"I used Clinique when I was a teen, but somewhere along the way, started using drugstore makeups. I recently began on a search for a better makeup, and ended up back at Clinique. My skin is very acne prone...I've had a close relationship with a dermatologist for years. I guess I didn't realize that drugstore makeups, though the ones I used were oil-free, were not helping my acne situation. I have been using this makeup for 2 weeks now, and I'm finding that my acne is 10 times better, and the texture of my skin when I don't put it on is smoother than before. I love the smooth matte finish it gives and that I don't have to reapply all day. I blot here and there, but reapplying is never necessary. As far as I'm concerned, anything that helps clear my acne is worth it's weight in gold! The fact that this makeup also effectively controls oil is an added bonus."

Pros: light weight doesn't settle in lines, instantly covers tired eyes, good color selection, great as a eyeshadow base

"I'm in my early 30's but work the really early shift at work. I have some fine lines but def dark circles under my eyes. I can go from looking tired, stressed to healthy and put together. This product is great, its light, doesn't crease. Is great as a eyeshadow base. It doesn't break me out and the color selection is good. I ditched my foundation, concealer for this! Love it!"

"This is one of the best powders I have ever tried and it certainly does exactly what it says it should do. However, my only dissapointment with this product is that you need a bronzer or somehting to place over top of it to give your face a "fresh" appearance because it leaves your skin lookin a little too dried out."

"Clinique used to have an oil control powder, which I adored. When it was discontinued, I switched to this, and I am totally thrilled. This is all the makeup I need to wear, except for a little concealer on blemishes. It makes my skin look smooth, but natural, with none of the mess of a liquid foundation. What I love most is that it keeps the shine off of my annoying combination skin. I wear this every day and never want to use anything else!"

A Very Good Powder

"I bought this on a whim...I read a review stating how good this pressed face powder was for oily skin. I've been using Clinique's loose powder for the past year and liking it very much and before that I was using another company's pressed face powder. I've been a Clinique customer for so long I stopped counting the years so I decided to give this one a try. Although it has a different texture from other face powders I've used, Clinique's Stay-Matte Sheer is terrific! It covers without making my large pores look like craters, it lasts my entire 8 hour work day with my having to do one little touchup and it does an excellent job at keeping the shine to a minimum. I'm happy! I will not go back to my previous pressed powder. I'm movin' on!!"
