"I wanted a makeup remover that was good in removing the Continuous Coverage makeup as well as the SuperCity Block #40 underneath and the powder and blush on top. Well, I found it in the Comforting Cream Cleanser. I squeeze a moderate amount on my CLEAN fingers (wash your hands first) and massage gently all over. Then I take a baby washcloth with lukewarm water and gently wipe it all off. I follow with the Redness Solutions Cleanser, rinse, pat dry. I use the Mild Clarifying Lotion (no alcohol) after. All my makeup is gone and my face and neck are soft and ready for the next step in my skin care. The Comforting Cream Cleanser is not a cleanser by itself, is not designed as such. So make sure you use whatever facial wash you normally use after."
Pros: face feels soft after taking it off
Cons: none

Great Stuff!
April 2, 2013
"This stuff really lives up to its name...it is comforting!! Feels great going on and comes off easily. I only have been using it for a week and my skin feels different! It's more soft and supple, more even, less dry in the dry spots and less oily in the oily spots. This may be the best cleanser I have ever used."

Great for camping
December 7, 2012
"The Comforting Cream Cleanser is great for camping. Especially when water is limited because it can be wiped off rather than rinsed. I used it last winter in Utah while winter camping/treking above 10K' and it kept my face clean and moist, preventing windburn."

How have I missed this?????
December 2, 2012
"By far the best cleanser I have used in a very long time. Was using another major brand and it burned my eyes; despite how careful I was in using it. My skin feels clean without feeling dry. Outstanding. Not to mention it is much cheaper than the other brand!"
Pros: clean w/o drying, doesn't burn my eyes

Huge Fan of the Double Cleanse
October 19, 2012
"I got this at the suggestion of the Clinique Counter Manager. I never considered double cleansing before and I am so happy with the results. I'm not a heavy makeup user, but am religious about sunscreen. My SA let me know that the Extra Mild liquid soap wasn't getting rid of the sunscreen. I use this at night before the soap (part 1 on the 3 step). I wet my hands and use a pea sized amount and remove with a wet washcloth. I follow with my 3 step routine. I have been very happy with this product. No adverse reactions and my skin feels very comfortable and soft afterwards."
Pros: a little goes a long way

Truly Comforting!
October 18, 2012
"My skin is very sensitive and I am battling mild acne. I always used to use foaming cleansers to get that clean feeling because my skin always seemed so oily. I got tired of fighting with my skin, it seemed like no matter what I tried, I was still breaking out and my skin was red and irritated. I decided to try this cleanser because I didn’t think I had much to lose seeing as my skin was already a mess. I figured I would try a different approach with my skin and that approach was to be very gentle. So, I massage this cleanser on at night and gently wipe it off with a wet washcloth. In the morning I do the same, except I splash my face with water to remove and gently pat dry with a towel. Since using this cleanser, my skin has become less oily. I have not gotten any new breakouts and the pimples I did have are fading! I have come to the conclusion that my skin is either allergic to or is really irritated by detergents that are in most facial cleansers. This cleanser is detergent free, meaning if left on the skin, it will not irritate. This also makes my skin extremely soft after use and I find that the redness I once had is now very minimal compared to before. I think this is great for sensitive skin types like mine because it cleanses the skin without stripping anything away. I have extremely acne prone skin and if anything this has really helped it, but I think that you have to get use to the feeling of your skin when you use a cream cleanser Vs a foaming one. You will not have that squeaky clean feeling that a foaming cleanser gives you but don’t be fooled this does clean your skin! Just for the record, I follow up with the Mild Clarifying lotion, All About the Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage, Turnaround Serum, Dramatically Different Moisture Gel and the City Block SPF 15! ( I LOVE THEM ALL!)"
Pros: gentle rinses easily and leaves skin soft!
Cons: none

Best Makeup Remover
October 16, 2012
"A dime sized amount covers my whole face and removes every trace of makeup. I like to wipe it off with a washcloth or cotton pad. Works very well with waterproof mascara. I love that it is so gentle I can open my eyes to see if I'm covering my whole face. I have dry skin and this product does not make my face feel tight."

Best cleanser for any skin type
October 16, 2012
"I have used cream cleansers all my life, even as a teen and I am almost 50. In the profile it asks what skin type I have. I call it normal, not dry or oily. I believe that is because I have always used gentle cream cleansers on my face, no abrasive or drying products, and this cream cleanser is the best one I have found. It goes on smooth and comes off easy to leave my face feeling healthy and clean."

Excellent Cleanser for dry, sensitive skin!!
October 16, 2012
"Easily the best cleanser for dry, senstiive skin I have ever used. Extremely creamy, pleasant and easy to use. Instantly removes all makeup, even eye and lip colour, and easily washes away. I would highly recommend this cleanser to anyone with dry skin."

Love this cleanser!
October 12, 2012
"My skin had been looking bad with what I have been using another product that was much more expensive. Since I have been using Clinique comforting cleanser, I have seen a big improvement in my complexion. It looks brighter and is not dry."
Pros: feels so good on my face and takes away redness ., my face is not dry now
Cons: i would like it a larger bottle with a dispensor
"I use this cleanser during winter or cold months when my skin is at its driest. It doesn't strip away the moisture or oil in your skin and cleanses very gently. I have a combo oily skin so my cheeks and chin get dry when its cold. Its annoying when it gets flaky because its hard to apply makeup. Comforting cream cleanser doesn't lather so you know its very gentle because it cleanses like a cream! Great product!"
Pros: gentle

Cleanses without Drying
October 10, 2012
"I use the Comforting Cream Cleanser as my step one because all of the cleansing bars dry and irritate my skin. It really helps to keep my skin soft as well as cleanse it. I used to only use this in the summer (when my face is a little more oily) and I used the cream that was in the jar in the winter (because my skin was drier) but since the cleansing cream in the jar is no longer made, I use Comforting Cream Cleanser all the time. I wish the cream in the jar could be sold again but I definitely think that Comforting Cream Cleanser is a close second best."
"It seems to be very greasy on the skin, but it's very comforting. Though, it needs to be rinsed off right away after all the makeup is gone; otherwise, it will irritate my skin, because I have a very sensitive acne-prone skin. I use Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam after it, and they work great together."

Simply the best
December 7, 2011
"When I went to Las Vegas for the first time my skin started to visibly shrink because of dry desert air outside and heavy air conditioning inside. A shop assistant recommended me Comforting Cream Cleanser and it is my best friend ever since. It helped me realize that I actually have dry and sensitive skin (I used to think that my skin is oily) and gentle hydrating products work the best for me."

Rinses clean, great for rosacea
August 19, 2011
"I love that this doesn't leave a film on my skin even though it's a lotion cleanser. It's not oily at all. Dissolves makeup without drying me out. No fragrance or dyes. Fair price. Perfect cleanser for summer. In winter, I need something a little more moisturizing."
Pros: gentle yet effective cleansing, fragrance-free dye-free, not oily
"I wanted something that would take off my makeup so I could then cleanse my skin with my face wash and this works really well. It smells a little funny but nothing I can't stand."
