Finally a liner I can use

Pros: easy to apply

Cons: can smudge without a base

"I have tried to use liner several times over the years, but as I get older and my skin gets looser I find it harder to apply. This pencil goes on smoothly and is easy to apply. I do find that it smudges if I don't apply a primer (I use the non-shimmery shades of Touch Base) - but with the combination it stays put and looks fresh for my 12 hour days. Great product."

My favorite eye liner

"Love this liner. I've tried many over the years from clinique and this is my favorite. I've noticed not as many colors are available, and I hope they don't discontinue it. I LOVE the "Black Coffee" color. It matches my hair perfectly and looks very natural on me. My hair is a light/medium brown with some reddish blond hightlights. The liner goes on smooth, and I can draw an even fine line. I love the sharpener at the other end."

"I have used this Kohl Shaper for years. It blends well and is long lasting. Unlike other brands of eye liners, the Clinique Kohl Shaper for eyes doesn't irritate my eyes as I wear contact lenses. The built in sharpener is very handy being built into the cap for the pencil."

Pros: easy to apply, easy to regulate in tone, the sharpener is instantly available, even looks sexy!

"I hate to say it, but some older women begin to lose definition in their faces, meaning fading, and looking wan. It takes something to brighten and add interest. Using Clinique's Kohl Shaper did it for me. I draw a moderately thin line over my upper eyelashes and then blend and smudge. I can add or reduce the color to suit the occasion! It made my eyes look brighter, and me feel happier."

"You can definitely tell that this is a qualtiy product, yet, smudges and creates another line on your upper lid shortly after you put it on. Is very silky and goes on too smooth for me. Wont be using this again."

It's not suited for warm climates

"Just after 1 hour (or less) after i put on my makeup, it was all smudged under my eyes. It looked like as if I had cryed with bad mascara on.
So now I'm stuck with 5 kohl shapers with no use for it, wich is sad 'cause I really like my other clinique products, like the cream shaper for eyes, which I absolutely love."

"I wear contact lens, so pencils work best for me due to them not flaking or running. I really like the Kohl Shaper because you have control over the application with the built in sharpener. It also makes it great to toss in your beauty bag or handbag since you don't have to carry a seperate sharpener."

Smudges...does not stay in place!

Pros: goes on smooth

Cons: smudges all over the place!!

"I'm not sure why I stuck with this eyeliner for so long, but it does not stay in place! Yes, it goes on nice and smooth and doesn't pull at the skin, but within an hour, I am having to "clean up" the area with a Q-tip because it smudges under my eyes. Bummer, because I normally like Clinique products."
