Fragrance too strong

Pros: silky and moisturizing

Cons: strong smell

"I loved the body butter but was interested in the reviews of the fragrance of this product. I was very disappointed when I tried it since it was overwhelming strong on me. I had gotten the impression it was subtle but it smells heavy like cheap perfume. I tried just applying the lotion to my forearms and hands but I am sending it back.
On a positive note, the lotion is very silky and soothing."

Terrible Smell!

"I read such raving reviews about the smell of this product, and I was so disappointed when I opened it; it was just awful! It was not only myself that thought so, but my husband, father and mother all hated the smell, too. I even tried to just GIVE this to my mom and she wanted no part of it because it smells so yucky! The only reason this got a '2' rating from me was because the lotion itself was thick and smooth going on and made my skin feel good, but the woodsy/musty/musky smell was gross, over-powering and smelled very matronly."

Hooked on Aromatics Elixir

Pros: best cream i every used

"I got introduced to Aromatics Elixir Body Cream in 2006. I remember the day very very well. I was in the hospital having surgery. My sister-in-law came by to see me and brought me some "feel good" goodies. One of the "goodies" was Aromatics Elixir Body Cream. I showered and rub myself down with the cream. Everyone that walked into my hospital room (nurses, doctors, students...) were all enamored with the scent. I have shared it with other members of my family and they too have become "hooked". I recently paid a check-in fee because TSA wanted me to throw my cream away! I told them I would rather pay a check-in bag fee than throw my cream away. Thank you for making Aromatics Elixir Body Cream."

Exotic and Emollient

"Clinique does have a high standard of excellence, which I really appreciate. The Aromatics Cream is a rich and emollient elixir with an intoxicating and interesting scent. This cream is a quaiity product, thick but not greasy, and it absorbs quickly. It is a wonderful moisturizer for my very dry (now winter) skin and has a strongish but refreshing scent, fading as the evening/morning wears on. Great as a layer with the perfume, but even as a layer with another scent or deodorant. Great after bath or shower when skin is moist, and it is lovely to sleep wrapped in this elixir! It actually inspires restfulness with its warm aroma.

Please note that this perfume works differently with different body chemistries, hence its mystery! and the vetiver works well with my own chemistry."

"this is my one and only scent. i love the richness of the body cream. the bottle of perfume leaked in my luggage once, and it is just too strong for me. i really miss aromatics elixir hydrating body mist, that was just perfect, but for some reason they don't carry it anymore. so now i only use the cream, no perfume.... it is enough of a scent...."
