Pros: not drying

"This is the first facial soap I have ever used that has not dried out my face, people say it smells like plastic, and it's fragrance free, but it kinda smells like a mint mojito, it smells good. Best best preferred to use it with your 3 step for better results."

Pros: works at first
Cons: begins to decline after a long period of time
"well this three step cleaning care worked pretty well at the beginning. I used it for a long time and then changed to drug store stuff. That totally screwed up my skin, so I went back to this. It cleared my skin pretty well, and I've continued using it for the past few months. However, recently my acne has just been incredibly overwhelming. I'll have at least several new breakouts A DAY! It's terrible! I haven't quit using this because I don't want to stop, and have my breakouts blow up my face (literally)!!! I'm trying out the acne solutions soon, but I would only suggest this three step care for people with light acne."

"I really like this cleanser. It works very well and has a nice, soft scent. Removes all makeup without drying my skin. Essential part of my overall skin care regimen."

"Every body says that this problem is the best but I have to beg to differ. Normally when I see products that have bad reviews I dont pay attention, but I think people should! It is suppose to help get rid of oil and minimize pores, but It has done neither! I feel like I wasted my time and money in this product. Just sayin!"

"Great cleanser, I've tried a lot of cleansers and although I like the Checks and Balances one from Origins, I trust that 3 step works because of every step. So I continue to use this soap and I have to say my skin always feels squeaky clean after using this."

"I tried the extra mild and it was too mild for me but i must say it was not drying at all. Now i'm giving the mild a try and i'm praying it works out for me. But their products are good so i know i'm in good hands."

"I have only used this product for a week and there's a huge difference! It makes my skin feel so soft and non-drying. It's also worth the money. You can only use a half-pump and it lathers up so much! And there's different skin types to choose from, so one is bound to be yours! I have mild/dry combination skin. I recommend!"

Pros: good value gentle removes makeup non irritating
"I have been using the Clinique cleanser for two years. I have sensitive, normal-combination skin and this is a great cleanser for my needs. It is lightweight, yet gentle, and removes makeup and grime.
One pump bottle is value for money as it lasts up to six months. A little goes a long way. Compare this to buying numerous cheaper cleansers which run out within a month or so. Great product Clinique."

Can't Shower Without This!!

Pros: gentle and efficient, pump stays locked by twisting; keeps water out.
"This has been a total necessity! Super gentle, super smooth; you can feel it so soft against your face. And it doesn't make you rub too hard, feeling like tugged or dry skin left, or leaving oily residue feeling, or anything bad. When I wash my face I also use it on my eye makeup in the shower-- I can't stress enough: it just removes dirt and makeup so truly EFFORTLESSLY. Washes off clean, but you can just feel it so gentle to your face. I love this product and am never out of stock. Even my brother admitted he tried mine and loved how it... :)"

"This face wash never dries out my skin, yet gets all of my makeup and sunscreen off. I have even seen improvement in the slight breakouts I would get before. I feel as if my skin in more balanced also."

"Cleanses face great without over drying when used in the 3 step cleanse.i use it 1 to 2 times and day and after a week saw a difference and after a month saw a consistency in skin.i use it in the 3 step "combination to oily skin!""

Pros: feels so refreshing, superb cleaning
"I had forgotten to take my Clinique Facial Soap into the shower with me this morning and used my regular bar of Dove. I could feel the difference right away. Dove left soap residue behind and didn't make my skin feel silky soft like Clinique does. I jumped out, got the Clinique, rubbed some on my face, and I could feel it tingling! It washed off the soap residue that was left behind and left me feeling super clean and refreshed! Won't ever use anything else again!
Oh, and my husband rubs my face and says that he loves how soft it feels. I finally have the skin of my youth back!"

Pros: a mild soap that won't dry out skin, isn't heavily fragranced like most face soaps, comes in different formulations for all skin types, use less makeup
Cons: haven't found any as of yet!
"I just purchased this product two days ago and I love it! I purchased the 3-Step System and my skin is so much more comfortable feeling. This is such a gentle soap that it doesn't strip my skin of natural oils and cause my skin to dry out. I also found that after using the 3 Step System my makeup goes on more flawlessly and I use a lot less of it!"

"I have very fair skin, but have oily problems while also drying out. I've used other products for my lil acne breakouts and they just make everything worse. This helped sooo much! I have never used one that I loved so much. And I don't have to put on a ton of lotion afterwards. :D"

"I didn't start to break out a lot until college, and by that time my friends' break outs had stopped, and I really wanted mine to go away so I would look more my age. I tried many drug store brands, but nothing seemed to work. I decided to pay the extra money and try Clinique and I'm very glad I did! I tried the skin type 3 set and my face started to clear up, but it was too drying. The next time I used type 2 and now I am using the set for sensitive skin and it is great. It took me a little bit to realize that my face was creating extra oil because it was so dry--the extra mild soap is perfect for this. Many drugstore brands don't have different options for different skin types, I am very glad I came to Clinique. Once you find the right type for your skin it works so well!"

Pros: gentle, works quickly, effective
"I was one of those lucky teenagers who almost never broke out or got pimples, so naturally I wasn't sure what to do when I suddenly started getting zits at the age of 21. After trying a range of other products to no avail, a friend of mine suggested I visit the Clinique counter and I haven't looked back since.
I was really surprised at how quickly my skin cleared up and definitely noticed a difference the handful of times I have traveled and forgot to pack my "3-step" products or haven't used them faithfully. I still get what my dermatologist says are "stress" breakouts from time to time, but they vanish almost overnight or are at least barely visible the next day. I honestly don't think I'll ever use anything else."

"I had dull, pimply, dry skin before I began using this. Even though I've only been using this face wash for a few weeks, I have seen a major improvement in my skin. It looks brighter, clearer, and smoother. I have to use the extra-mild since I have sensitive skin, but this stuff works wonders. It has a pleasant smell and the pump distributes the perfect amount of wash for each use. Great stuff!"

Pros: washes away cleanly, softening, only takes a tiny drop
"I love everything about the liquid facial soap. But the three top things are: 1, it takes so little to wash my face and neck, it's a great value for the money. 2, it leaves my skin feeling soft, not stripped. 3, it rinses away easily and completely. I never feel like there's a soap residue on my face."
