Causes Breakouts if You Have Sensitive Skin

"I didn't buy this makeup for acne coverage, although I occasionally get a bit of acne. I bought this because it was recommended as a replacement for Stay True makeup.
The makeup has wonderful coverage and a great matte finish. The first day I wore it someone actually commented that I had a "lovely complexion." By the second day of wearing the makeup my skin started breaking out. I gave it just over a week and by that point the makeup couldn't cover the condition it had created. My skin has never been in such crazy-bad shape. It's gross.
I called Clinique customer service and they were incredibly helpful. I totally appreciated it.
Still, I felt compelled to write a review for others with sensitive skin."

Love it ! Name Deceiving

Pros: lightweight, good coverage, long wearing

"Used to wear Stay Tru Make up, found is was too heavy and made my skin look dry and masque like, This make up is great long wearing, good coverage, not heavy, skin feels good like not wearing make up. The name is deceiving..it is not just for young skin, I am 57 and love this. So happy you introduced more shades. Great for summer !"

Great Foundation

Pros: great coverage

"I have never been a fan of liquid foundation bc my skin is so oily and acne prone but this foundation is amazing! I use it in conjunction with the almost powder. My skin is not oily by mid day and I dont have to touch it up! This formula is very lightweight and it goes on very smoothly. I would definitely recommend this product!"

Good liquid makeup

"I've been using the Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup for about a month now. I have not broken out and it seems to keep what breakouts I have under control. Any irritation I might have had was pre-existing and I like the fact that this makeup does not add to it. I will continue to use to see what more results I have."

"I take my time to write this review because I feel I must let you know how good this foundation is. I have tried lots of others from different great brands and I must say this is the only foundation that feels good in my skin and covers it like I did not suffer from acne!! It makes your skin look absolutely flawless while at the same time treats it good. If, like me, you suffer from acne and red spots you need to cover, I fully recommend this fantastic foundation to you. It's clinique, could not expect any less!!!"

"I read a few of the reviews and was pleased with all the positives about this foundation. I am of an older age and was concerned with caking, etc,; I do have oily skin but have taken very good care all these years with 'wrinkle production.' Unfortunately, in the last 5 yrs I have been plagued with breakouts. I AM SO HAPPY--FINALLY--WITH THIS FOUNDATION! No more searching! I won't be using powder...but really, I don't need to...just some gentle blotting midday. Happy Me!"

"I am 48 yrs old and tried all kinds of make up my skin is oily and still breaks out this make up controls oil and heals acne and good but not heavy coverage. Use the matte powder over this and can't be beat."

"I use this foundation in combination with the Acne skin cleaning system. I had used many other types of "acne" formulated foundation with the same result: a caked on look. This makeup matches my skin perfectly (if you can, I would highly recommend visiting a Clinique store in person, so that a sales associate can match you). I love the way my skin looks with this make up, and the coverage is unbeatable. I was worried that it might irritate my sensitive skin because of the anti-acne ingredients, but so far so good!"

Best Foundation I have ever bought

"I have trouble finding foundation that matches my skin tone, covers imperfections, stays on and doesn't irritate my skin. I wasn't sure this was going to be much different but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this for the first time. I put it on before work and it doesn't require a single touch-up all day! A little goes a very long way and it has improved my skin. This is a wonderful product and I cant imagine going back to anything else."

"For my fifteenth birthday, my grandmother took me to our local Clinique store and had me talk to the lady there. She showed me the Acne Solutions foundation and sampled it on for me. When I looked in the mirror, I was absolutely amazed. I went home and have been wearing this for a few months now. One day I was looking at me skin in the mirror on the visor in the car, and could see this orangeness on my skin. In the sunlight, the foundation was orange!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! You could see the line halfway down my neck!!! I guess in sunlight this isn't a very good product. But inside, it's okay. I guess if your skin is fake tan orange this is the foundation for you!"

Pros: long lasting, great color selection, great for oil control

"I amd very oily all over and acne-prone. In addition, I'm African American and on the darker shade range. This makes it quite hard to find good foundation...however not anymore! A little goes a long way with this foundation. While I noticed that I'd have to blot my skin about every two hours with other foundations, with Acne Solutions, I literally went an 8 hour work day without even having to touch-up my make-up! I was color matched at a department store and the color is spot on. I personally use a primer first, then a stippling brush to apply my foundation for that air brushed look and the my face is flawless. For the hot and humid months, I use Clinique' stay matte pressed powder for touch-ups and I'm good to go. This is definitely worth the buy."

"I had been going through a period where I was battling acne and could not figure out what was causing it. After trying multiple products, my knight in shining armor arrived in this bottle. My acne is barely there, no more oil, great coverage, and you can't compete with the price. I have recommended this product to my family and friends and have received nothing but rave reviews."

"Foundation is great. Is not heavy at all,feels light on the skin and covers most blemishes.a little extra may be needed on some blemish spots but generally covers everything!! Matched my skin tone great. Using this foundation did not make already existing blemishes worse,and did not create more.Seriously a great foundation for those with sensitive skin that breaks out easy.I make sure to clean foundation brush weekly to also help prevent break outs."

Pros: not too expensive, lasts long, has a clean natural finish, clears acne

"I've been using this foundation since last summer. I used to always buy drugstore brands but they weren't very high quality and made me break out, so I decided to give this stuff a shot. I've been using it along with the Even Better foundation (which I didn't much care for) ever since.

While I didn't have any complaints, I decided to try a more expensive brand's HD foundation a few weeks ago. What a mistake that was! It was a bit more expensive than this makeup and didn't look nearly as good. The Acne Solutions makeup is half the price, lasted twice as long and I never have to worry about how it looks once it's on. It lasts for quite a while by itself, but if I'm stuck in classes all day I'll put a primer on before I put this on and it will last literally from 7 am- 7 pm with no touch ups and still look great. Trying out the other brand really made me realize how much I LOVE this makeup and will NEVER use another brand. The other makeup made me break out and didn't cover the things I wanted it to very well (which kind of defeats the point of wearing makeup). Acne Solutions makeup covers so well, goes on effortlessly, easily blends, and looks great, Plus it clears up any acne. Thank you for a wonderful product, Clinique!"

"I've been using Bare minerals Matte foundation but i didn't get enough coverage and it always somehow disappeared by the end of the day even with a primer.

I really enjoy using Clinique's foundation and Moisture surge ext. relief moisturizer. The first day i used these.. I noticed a HUGE difference in my oily skin. I was less oily and around mid-day.. i no where near as oily as i usually was before i got these products.

"This was a very good product and it covered my blemishes very well but I had a serious problem with the colour selection I tried the lightest shade they had and it was too orangey and too pink for my skin type. I hope that Clinique will bring some more colours into this foundation I truly enjoyed it."
