Pros: non-irritating mild soothing

"I love the Redness Solutions line, but I need just a bit more exfloliation. Mild Clarifying Lotion does the trick. Non-irritating, it is actually soothing. Sometimes I pour just a bit in my hands and pat it into my skin instead of using a cotton ball."

"I have oil breakout and sensitive skin, what funny! I can not use too moisture lotion that makes my face oil or clean my skin too much to make it rash. I use this toner, and love it. make my skin softer and moisture as much as I needed. I don't need night cream any more."

Soothing lotion

"I had never tried the clarifying lotion without the alcohol. I still love that product, but I'm in my fifties and like this mild clarifying lotion for colder weather, when my skin can be drier. This leaves my skin feeling more moist and soothed. Am glad I tried it."

"I have VERY sensitive allergy prone skin. I react to pretty much everything. Even anti-allergenic products make my skin peel and get dry, flaky and itchy. For years I have been using products for exzema as they were the only ones that were gentle enough for me, even though I don't have exzema. I recently started using Clinique products and am reviewing the ones that work for me, in case other customers have the same issues. This mild clarifying lotion is wonderful. It doesn't dry my skin out or make it feel tight. I am using it in combination with Comfort On Call moisturiser which I have also just written an ecstatic review on. So nice to be using such luxurious products after years of using medicated products that were not moisturising enough for my extremely dry skin. Very happy! Thanks Clinique!"

Pros: soothing

"I have only used this product for a short time, but my skin seems to like it. I see that it is recommended for very dry skin but I think almost anyone could use it. I have combination skin; a little oilier in the summer and a little dry in the winter.I like this product because it contains no alcohol so it is not going to irritate my skin."

"This is a very mild clarifying lotion. My skin feels tighter immediately after using it. Since adding it to my nightly routine, my skin is smoother and more even in tone and texture. Because I have very sensitive skin, I have not yet used it twice daily as suggested."

Pros: no harsh alcohol content

"I have used the Clinique 3-step cleansing regime since I was very young. Now that I am older, my skin has become more dry and sensative and I have been advised not to use products that contain alcohol. This "mild" formula is perfect (still getting the same affects without using strong ingredients). I am glad that this formula is available for my needs."

"I had a fear of toners until I tried this one. All of the other toners I have used set my face on fire. Without this product my face is oily and broke out. Mild clarifying lotion is gentle, yet effective. It really lives up to its name."

"Very mild and gentle. I'm skipping the soap and only use this toner to clean my face in the morning. It wouldn't remove too much of the natural protective oil that your skin secrets, but can give you a clarified feeling."

Pros: soothing calming prep for creams

"I haven't used a toner for a while and decided to give this a try (I use other Clinique products on my face) I was really surprised that it made such a difference in the way the other products worked. I use the anti-gravity cream and the clarifying lotion helps that glide on my skin. It is also very soothing to use at night after cleansing with the mild face soap."

Good for acne prone but sensitive skins

"My skin is reasonably oily and breaks out at the drop of a hat. Most products marketed to acne-prone skins though are far too harsh and strip the skin of protective oils leaving it even more prone to breakouts. This clarifying lotion is completely non-irritating even for skin like mine. I have noticed an overall improvement in skin texture since using it and less breakouts. There is no tingly feeling after using it which is GOOD because that tingly feeling just indicates skin that is being irritated."

"I used the lotion no 3 and it was very harsh on my skin and too strong, So I switched to this formula without alcohol and it was great i saw results in 2 days. My skin was clearer, the breakouts were clearing up, and didn't irritate my skin. In fact, I use it over my recent shaved skin and the skin doesn't get irritated, that's how mild it is."

"Toners always bother my sensitive skin but not this one! Not only does it feel great going on it really makes the texture of my skin look nicer- smooth with less noticable imperfections. If you want to try a different level of Clarifying Lotion or if you want to add a toner to your skin care routine I highly recommend trying this one no matter what type of skin you have."
